Traveling with Babies – Health is Wealth
Posted by Babies - 18/01/09 at 03:01 amPrevention is better than cure, so it is always better to take preventive measures to look after your child’s health while travel. We may travel to a place which has extremely different climate than the place you live. The pollution while created by the vehicles. All these may affect your baby’s health.
Most babies like to sit near the window when you take them out in a car or bus as they enjoy watching out the things outside. But it is indeed not a good practice. Some children peep out of window, others may put their hand outside. This is extremely dangerous mainly in the case of road travel. Also the dust and smoke may also affect your baby’s respiratory system. Thus take necessary care while your baby sits near a window. Make sure he\she wears some protective clothes.
While going on a trip it is a must that you carry a baby medicine kit with you. The kit should contain all basic things like infant thermometer, bandages, tablets for common cold, fever, infant insect repellent (use a good oil in mixture with baby oil for keeping away mosquitoes),some re hydration powders. Also take with you some sunscreen lotion if you are going to a hotter place. A scissors might also be helpful for cutting bandages.
Apart from these do not forget to take your baby’s soap, oil; shampoo as changing small things like these might cause some big health hazard.
Finally do a health check up with your family doctor before the travel and take the necessary he advices. This makes sense if by chance the baby falls ill. Enjoy the trip and have great fun traveling with your kiddos.
