Traveling with a Baby in Flight
Posted by Babies - 18/01/09 at 03:01 amFlying with babies is indeed a great adventure. To make this adventure an enjoyable occasion or a troublesome experience is in the hands of the parents. All that is needed to make the travel great is a bit of preparation. A minute spent before is worth hours of joy. Here is some information that may be useful to all who travel with their babies in flight.
Plan your travel during week days so that there are fewer crowds. Fewer crowds imply less tension or stress. Without much rush your baby can enjoy the travel.
Take a lot of things that will make your baby feel happy like snacks, drinks, books. Now a days most of the flights are delayed and babies tend to cry if they are made to stay at the same place for longer time.
Make your child prepared for the trip. Tell your child about the flight, airport and how the environment will be inside the flight. This makes your child think about the travel and the baby will feel really happy when he\she sees them in real.
Take-offs and landings are times where there is a jerk and it may affect the little ears of the babies. As a precautionary measure take with you some ear filters which protect your child’s year against the air pressure. Tighten the belt seats of your babies and check often if the belt is tight as your child could loosen it.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has now passed a recommendation that allows babies to be seated in your child’s car seat or booster. So if you have one do not forget to take it with you while flight travel.
